The rest of June 3rd.

Firstly, I have to post some photos that were taken the other day and I got booted off the site.

These are the Maori symbols for North, South, East and West

This is the Maori welcome to Bridal Veil Falls

This just shows the terracing of the hillside.  It isn't the best depiction, but the roads don't have wide shoulders to pull over when you really want to.

Just a nice view behind a nice fellow

This is Kawhia, this was a shipbuilding community originally.  You are looking at the Museum.  A very nice little community.

The room on the left is the one we stayed in at Raglan Kopua Holiday Park.  We paid $85.00 per night and we had a double bed and 2 bunks., a kitchen, dining and living room with a TV.  This is luxury compared to what we had in Australia.  I must say we were spoiled at Stuart and Jenny's though.   The car is a Mazda Capella Wagon.

The flagmen here are different, they have a sign sticking out of a traffic cone, one side is red..says STOP the other side, green...says GO, they just turn the sign, simple as that, no slow with hand gestures.  The roads are a lot like ours, the lanes are the same width and they are very well maintained.  A pleasure to drive on compared to what we just had.  However, they are hilly and windey (I know it's not a word, but it is the best I could come up with).

I don't know what the ranchers used to fight about, cattle, sheep and turkeys peacefully coexist on these hillsides.  There are plenty of them.  Every hillside is speckled with sheep.  The soil looks to be very rich, great farming areas.
